Challenges and the adoption of new systems by farmers in response to climate change
Climate change has a direct impact on agriculture, affecting both crops and livestock through prolonged droughts, heat stress, and increasingly unpredictable weather patterns. Many crops are drying out or producing lower yields, while farmers face growing pressure to adapt their production methods. In response, some farmers are introducing drip irrigation systems, plastic mulch and protective nets against excessive sun and hail, enabling more stable production and higher-quality yields. In the Agricultural school, students receive practical training in livestock management and greenhouse cultivation, highlighting the importance of education and early skill development in building climate-resilient farming systems.
